I hope to get it running by sept 1st. The only thing im missing is my batt for the set up.... So my old up is..... 2 15" cadence daytona's 2ohm Trunk mounted box with7.5 cubes 3" round port ma audio 3600rms 2chan bridged at 1ohm rockferd tweeds and mids in the front doors 600watt no name amp for fronts powerbasterds 220 amp alt 6x9s in the rear Anyways updates!! Page 2 2 rd audio d5's 2 Hdc4 15" 3.5 cubes 2 6" aerospace removable port for different tuning.... Nothing crazy but will get the job done anyways heres some pics of where im at enjoy.... Heres my Baby.... And my build... this is my first box ive ever build someday im shure ill build an better one lol.... Anyways all constructive tips and ideas are welcome

Louisiana Bass Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 Good start, but that port needs to be bigger. With 7.5 cubes, I'd probably want to have two 6" aeros. N8. No homo...unless you want there to be.
splcb7 Posted July 6, 2011 Author Report Posted July 6, 2011 Im still working in the port but its an 3" port, tuned at 31hrts ports back side, subs front its still under construction. I only want one port but I can go bigger if you guys think it will help I was going to use pvc for the port and round the front and back of the port....
spl4life Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 oh that hole in the back is your port??? i thought it was your teminal cup.. well i put your specs into torres box calculator and as it stands...without the port asuming you are using .75in MDF...you have tuned it to 29 hz.. either way... Port is too small... at 7.5 cubes net volume... before displacement... you should have around 63 to 92 sq inches of port (if its round port) 2 6inch ports 15inchs long should tune you down to around 32 hz... but heres another thing... put the ports on the side... sub front port back setups may cause some phasing issues... I have been wanting to build a new one for mine, I might PM you and get the specs on yours and try it out myself. I built it then put it in....it was an pain lol i dont want to ever have to take it out it took like 3 hrs to figure out how to get it in there....needless to say it isnt coming out lol

Ok so i shouldnt of put the port in the back dang....well i have to live with it becuse im not building an other box in the next month or two. ....so with the port back side how big should i make it? And i dont have any room on the sides of the box for any ports so back was kinda my only option....limited space stinks.....

I dont have any cash to buy any 6" round pvc but I have wood....im kicking this around becuse i dont want to waist my subs ability to get loud my main goal is hair tricks... so.....also an second opinion on this would be great....my subs can go down to 31 hrtz so i want an 31 hrtz tuned port...my box is 17" tall and 32" wide and i dont remeber the rest atm..... These are gussing not actual size....im at work or id give more info....3/4 inch mdf
