solosickness
Hmm thx corey. I think all coils rise in impedance when hot due too the heat. Im just trying too findout if... the coil can be half damaged and i got a x2 2ohm dvc... if i put a meter thing on it how many ohms should it read? will it jump around? how do i know if my 2ohm coil is ok or half blown"if there is such a thing" lemme no what im trying too find out is, is my coil ok? how do i know if its damaged or just slightly damaged, the coil still works but its been heated up a few times so its no longer bright copper like it used too be, its kinda burnt looking round the coil but still works is it ok? ALPINE408
putting dampning material does not ALLWAYS increse numbers i had a car were i lost a full db by putting dynamate on my roof as soon as i took it off (and that was not easy) i gained my db back and this was tested with 6 differnt boxes all 6 boxes lost a db now for what it does... it does help to stop flex but by no means does it get rid of it completely MOST of the time it rasies your peak Frquency less but faster movement = higher frquency have seen it also lower frequence and gain spl this is all car dependent and yes there is a very audiable differnce in sound every car even mine that lost a db sounded so much cleaner and less rattle (rattle sounds like crap) Quote Have you ever had your woofers blown?
