pburke2009
So i am getting a DC lvl 3 sub with Lvl 4 coil and soft parts looking for a amp 1 ohm stable that will put out 1000rms at 1 ohm? and what fuse holder and fuse would i need? And would i want to upgrade batteries right away? and would i also want one in the rear...? baaudio
Audioque 1200d does 1200 rms at 1 ohm. I'd run a 100-120 amp anl fuse with true 4 gauge wire. As far as a battery I would do the big 3 with 0 gauge wire and see how your voltage holds up Edited July 8, 2011 by baaudio Quote Team NWSPL baaudio Build Log 2001 GMC Sierra walkthrough 4 Mechman Elite 370s, 10 AGM batteries, 3 Crossfire XS v2 18s, Crossfire 8k
pburke2009
Ok thank you im using this for research... so when i have the money i can get more power... How bad is it to run one coil instead of both cuz my amp now is only 2 ohm stable the sub im gettin is dual 2 ohm so either i have to wire it to 4 ohms or get a new amp or wire it to only one coil for max power output from amp which aint even half of half the 1000rms the sub will handle Quote 2008 Dodge Avenger SE Pioneer 4300-UB Headunit DC 1.2K 10"DC Lvl 3 with Lvl 4 coil... 15" DC Lvl 4 JVC Arsenal 3-way Component set
baaudio
Don't wire only one coil. I'd run it at 4 ohms for a while just to break it in. Then once you upgrade amps you'll be good for full power Quote Team NWSPL baaudio Build Log 2001 GMC Sierra walkthrough 4 Mechman Elite 370s, 10 AGM batteries, 3 Crossfire XS v2 18s, Crossfire 8k
