if the switch i am using has an LED, could i wire it inline with the remote turn on lead instead of off the battery? (i dont want to run them off the battery because if i forget to flip the switch of, the amp will stay on even if the car is off.) or is there a way to wire inline with the remote and still get LED power?

switch is the LED rocker switch

Yup, you can run it off the remote turn on.

Only difference between a switch with an LED and one without is the fact that you have to complete the circuit of the led, which means a ground needs to be added to the switch. LEDs are very efficient, so it shouldn't lead to any problems regarding the amperage draw in your remote wire.
