"Working now" Relay bypass on Pioneer HU

Recommended Posts

Ive watched like 4 videos and i just had 1 more question for anyone that knows.

The relay.. You ground number 86 to 87, and then on one of those you take the ground to the Head unit. So does this mean that the head unit's only ground goes to the relay? Do you not ground the relay to anything on the car?

Yes, have a ground coming from the relay also. That's how I did mine. The video bypass is working fine...but I am getting a hiss through the speakers...don't know if it's related to the relay or not.

Which one do you ground the relay to the car?

instead of a relay couldnt you put a switch on the ground wire? we do that on some of the radios at the shop and it works. but i know some radios are more in depth with the bypassing.

nvm I see you got it. Did you use the relay or move a pin?

I grounded the relay to the Head unit and the car. I thought it was just the head unit that needed grounding.
