RCP Audio Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 I recently bought a 1991 Mazda 323 hatch. It has the stock 65amp alt in it and stock bat in the front. Im looking at buying a new bat next week and would also like to get a new alt so when i finish saving for my system I dont have to worry about it, its barly got enough juice left to run the car alone!! does anyone know where i can find new alt, it doesnt have to be a H/O but needs more then what i got now. lowest price would be appreciated cheers PSN: Rcp_soundz Good rule of thump is go by what fuse size is being used in these amps. The higher the more amperage it pulls, this is what I look at. Im looking at buying a new bat next week and would also like to get a new alt so when i finish saving for my system I dont have to worry about it, its barly got enough juice left to run the car alone!! does anyone know where i can find new alt, it doesnt have to be a H/O but needs more then what i got now. lowest price would be appreciated cheers gen3 rx7 alternator is 110amp direct bolt in from what i have been told off my mazda forums. only thing is you need a kia or miata crank pulley since its a serpentine belt and not a v-band. even tho i drive an escort its got mazda under the hood. so i have looked into this a bit. your only issue is do you have a b6sohc or a b8sohc? the b6 may not be able to accept the miata 1.8L and kia 1.8L crank pulley. so you may need the crank pulley off a miata 1.6L and im not sure if that is a serpentine or not. hope this helps a little.
