FrikitonXplosion
I am glad I came here because otherwise I would of bought the wrong amp. I was looking at amps with 800w RMS @ 2-ohm or more. So now that I learned here that D2 goes under 1ohm or 4ohm instead of 2ohm. I think I found this Soundstream DTR1.1700D 1100 Watts RMS x 1 @ 2 ohms 1700 Watts RMS x 1 @ 1 ohms http://www.techronics.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=9417 I dont think I've seen anything better for that price. graham0599
I've never heard good things about soundstream because they are overrated but so are power acoustic so that's why you could get either just wire to one ohm for sure. TRTC360
The kicker l7 which is a square sub is dual coils. You do have the square L7 12" correct? The options are if you got the dual 2 that means there's two coils and each coil is two ohms. It can be wired in parallel for a 1ohm load at the amp. Or series for a 4ohm load at the amp. Dual coils in an easy way to put it is like two subs in one. WRONG. it has 2 coils in one. thats why its called a DUAL COIL, not 2 subs. NO I know what I'm talking about. I was putting it in a different term to help him understand obviously not. jmilch
Not much of a diffrence between the new soundstream and soundstorm, or power acoustik... All overrated and cheaply built. You could look for a kicker 750.1 The kicker would be best more than agreed. But since you're on a budget, the soundstream will be best. At least until you can save up for something better. But you just have to remember, keep it well fed from the battery and you cant be having it pounding it all the time. Alos, set the gains and filters and bass boost right. Dont clip and take care of it and it will last close to as long as the kicker My 350z build- http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/174424-2008-350z-build/page-2?hl=%2B350z+%2Bbuild#entry2605678
