Grelko's 84 Chevy G30 1-Ton Full Size Van

I worked on the van till it was dark outside again. Took off the passanger door and primered it on the inside so far. Lots of patching to do still so, I'll be primering parts as I get them finished.

Damn door must weigh close to 100 pounds lol.

It gets dark out too fast, maybe I should start waking up earlier.

Need to touch up a couple spots I know I caught while putting the door back on tomarrow, but I'm not that worried since it's only the first coat.

Got the outside of the passanger door and outside of the hood black primered today plus, finishing up patching the front right corner near the headlight, should get that done tomarrow.

edit- Looked over the entire van earlier today, I can add the black primer to about 85% of the whole thing as is. The rest, I'll have to finish patching and/or actually get welded like the drivers side step.

Got the front right finished up and was starting to work on a couple other spots with bondo.

Well, the only parts that I can still primer are the back doors, the inside and the roof. The rest I need to finish patching or get welded.

Still patching up some spots, but today it's lightly raining without thunder/lightning, so instead of hanging out in the house, I went outside for a couple hours and wet sanded all the primered areas lol.

Added up what I've done to the van since I started around July 17th.

Soon as I get the lower ball joints done, I will break the $1000 mark. Haven't even started to buy the actual paint, alternator, carpet, speakers, amp, get an alignment etc.

It's supposed to rain the next couple days so, I'll most likely just buy more primer and sandpaper to work on the inside till it's dry out. Need to measure up the dashboard and doors and, starting to get some ideas for wiring and lights.

Approx 10pm eastern some kids "condom water-balloned" the hood of the van.

No idea who it was, didnt hear/see anyone, just my dog barking for a couple mins, so I came outside and saw that the hood was wet, and a busted rubber on the road lol.

If I would have just had it painted, I might have been a little pissed but, since I'm still in the process of sanding, patching and primering spots, I could give a shit. Now if it would have been a rock etc, then I'd go find out who it was.

Just to be on the safe side, I'll get the alarm system installed before I get the speakers and things hooked up.

Just some harmless fun. Went out and checked the hood today, it's all good. My friends and I used to do stuff like that back in the day lol.

Got most of the rest of the sliding door primered except a spot I need to patch, the outside of the back passanger side door, and a small piece of the wall done. Either fixing the driver side front corner or a couple small spots on the wall tomarrow then primering that. Then, I might attempt to sand the roof but, I still need about 8-12 more cans of primer to finish the rest of the van.
