Got both lower ball joints done earlier today at the shop a couple towns over.

I asked the shop to check over the van pretty good. Got the alignment earlier today "wasn't that much out of alignment" which just gave me more ways to spend money. The guy at the shop said I'm only running on 4-5 of 8 cylinders which is causing the rattling. The driver side rotor seemed to have rusted in a way that when you turn it, it'll turn itself back?, the pressure in the caliper was so much that it was causing the brake fluid to boil which was causing my brakes to fail every once in a while among other nice things.

List of things.

Done - fuel filter, center support bearing, both lower ball joints, swaybar bushings, idler arm, pcv valve, sparkplugs, ignition wires, and other things I forgot.

To do - Dealing with both front tires, calipers, bearings, seals, rotors, brake pads.

Get driver and passanger side rocker panels welded plus a couple other spots, new grill, driver side fender and headlight bezel? the damn plastic cover around the light, door seals/weatherstrip, driver side window crank, and a windshield.

Actually not THAT bad since the van has over 145k miles on it.

Got both back doors primered on the outside and finished up most of the walls with parts taped off to fix later, so I have about 10 more spots to primer, then I can get to sanding the roof.

Replaced the sparkplugs and ignition wires today, no more insane rattling Turns out that 1 of the wires unplugged itself somehow, and another 1 was rotted through, so it wasn't getting any spark and 3 sparkplugs were COMPLETELY rusted to the engine which came out in 2 pieces each, so I must have been running on about 4 cylinders, but now I'm back to 8 and it sounds/runs ALOT better.

It still rattles a tiny bit, but that's because I need to get the wheel bearings etc fixed but it's nowhere as bad as it was.

I haven't been doing too much since its been raining alot lately.

Sanded the rims down again since they started to rust cause I didn't get much time to work on them, then primered and painted.

Seat covers came in the mail so, they're in the van now.

Got a couple more spots fixed up, took off some of the old aluminum and looking into prices of panels, gonna take the welding one piece at a time when I finally get around to it again.

Took off parts of the dashboard and saw that I have a ton of room under there

Thinking about two 4x5 mid/highs and probably 6x 6" or 8", in the dash or more, and it looks as if I should have enough room for 3x 8"s in the bottom of each door.

The next time its half decent outside I'll take a couple more pics of how the van is coming along.

Still gotta wait till I get spots welded to finish up primering, then i can finally get to painting.

Most of the van is primered 2 or 3x times, then sanded with 400 and 800, rims are done. Going to lightly sand the roof with 120, then re-primer and go with 400, then 800 tomarrow if I have the time.

Took 4 cans of primer for the roof lol.

Seat covers, only bad thing is that they don't go over the arm rests, so I have to make covers for those.

This took a good couple hours but the first coat of primer is down.

edit- Added rubberized undercoating to each of the wheelwells, need more to do the rest of the underneath before it snows. Pennsylvania roads are pretty bad in the winter where I live. All the salt they put down eats the undercarriage.

Got the driverside fender patched up and primered finally, put in a new battery tray, couple other things.

Got a ticket for parking against the flow of traffic overnight $15, went down and talked to the officer and explained that I had the battery out and was in the process of replacing different parts so, he said use common sense next time because the road is busy etc, but technically I was using it since I turned the van around and sat on the sidewalk instead of sitting in the middle of the road working on the front driverside fender and under the hood yesterday but, I can understand what he was saying because I do have to park at a bend in the road. It's cool though, the cop was a nice guy about dropping the ticket.

Getting tickets already and don't even have my system in yet, can't wait lol.

For using only spray paint, it looks fantastic! I find this build much more interesting than just putting a box in a brand new car and running some wire, gets old. Keep it coming man, budget builds are where I learn all the tricks.

That's actually just the primer on the van, but the rims are painted, I'm going to get spots welded throughout the winter/spring and paint it when it gets warmer out again. Ya, it's alot easier if you have a new car and just put a box in it, but what's the fun in that lol. If you fix up your own vehicle over a couple months or rebuild it, even if it looks great or like crap after your finished, you feel better because did it yourself

I might not be able to post too many more pictures as of right now since the USB port I have for my digital camera is getting loose, the computer is pretty old so I might have to wait to get another one before more pics... But if I can get it to work, then I'll put some up.

The green seat covers, I also have the steering wheel cover and rear view mirror cover on, and black fake fur covering the dashboard. I'll take out the dashbaoard to cut holes after I get the speakers but, I just couldn't wait any longer to add the fur to it so I'll have to be careful not to rip the material too much. Still alot to do inside and out and I just might get it fixed up enough by next summer for cruises. If I get the cash, I'm hoping to get the carpet in there around Jan/Feb.

The next warm day, I'll primer the inside of the driver, sliding, and both back doors if theres enough time, and sand the roof with 400 then 800, and see how much wire I'm going to need for lighting.

I put dice caps on my wheels, so far, noone snagged them.
