slow240sx Posted August 3, 2011 Report Posted August 3, 2011 I just bought a 99 suburban. Its the last year of the old body style. It looks to have a component set factory in the front doors. I havent pulled the doors yet. Looks to be a 6.5" speaker in there. Anybody ever put an 8" in there? How hard is it to modify the door to make it fit. I would probably be looking for a pro audio 8 if i go that route. I dont mind cutting the metal but i want to keep the door panels looking stock for now since they look basically brand new. I got a set of jl audio xr650csi components to put in if the 8 is too much of a hassle. Let me know your opinions.
