I believe I can not use RCA's because of the stock head unit. I was thinking about going with the MTX Terminator package(2 12's & 1 1200watt amp). The amp it self is a class D mono block. LivinloudDD Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 You will need one of these to hook a amp to the stock radio. dodad splice it to the harness. Running the subs wire both postitive and both negitives together then run a positive and negitive from one sub to the amp. Ok this this the link to the amp --> MTX Amp Its going into a '01 2dr chevy blazer yeah that amp has high level inputs already built into it. sweet, makes it that much easier. you look on the amp itself and right below it it tell you which wire goes to which speaker and whichever polarity (+ or -). then the G in the middle is for Ground. put a copper wire lug on it and bolt it down onto a piece of metal that has had the paint removed around where the lug will go.
MikeMueller Posted August 10, 2011 Report Posted August 10, 2011 You may want to wire a switchable 12vlot remote wire because I have found signal sensing turn on to be a little bit iffy. I tried it on my JL before and did not like it at all. Plus it is nice to have a kill switch for when the cops are around.
