dkahns51
How would you go about wiring 8 subs into a mono amp? If they are dual coils either 4 or 2.. Ive seen a wiring guide for dual 4's for 4 subs, so can you do 1 set of 4 subs wired to 2 ohms into the A side of the mono amp and the other 4 subs into B side of mono amp? Or do you need to wire all the subs down to 1 load? **Clicky>>My 2009 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport Buildlog<<Clicky** I'm messing up 98% of the time
TeejayBee
yes thats how i have my four wired d2 subs wired to 2 ohm then wired to the amp that way so the amp sees 1ohm
S15_Silvia
For 8 dual 4Ω subs, I'd do all coils in series, so 8Ω per sub, then all subs in parallel, for 1Ω final load. For 8 dual 2Ω subs, I'd run individual coils in parallel, so 1Ω per sub, then have two sets of 4 subs in series, so 4Ω per set, then parallel the sets together, for 2Ω final load. Just what I could do off the top of my head. 2016 Subaru BRZ | Sony XAV-AX100 | Rockford Fosgate DSM 4080 & DSM 40ix | On 6/6/2012 at 6:32 PM, 'LZTYBRN' said: 3. dkahns51
Thanks! I just wanted to make sure that is could hit up both A and B spots on mono amp and it would still run it as a whole basically. But good to know also that i can wire them down to 1ohm as well. **Clicky>>My 2009 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport Buildlog<<Clicky** I'm messing up 98% of the time
