Monergist Posted August 12, 2011 Report Share Posted August 12, 2011 Anytime I talk to Matt at Mechman, he's always encouraging me to run 14 volt batteries and says it wont harm the stereo equipment, but make it perform better. So I'd assume any of your top quality brands should do. AA98hoe Posted August 12, 2011 Report Share Posted August 12, 2011 Remember if your running 16v your charging at 18+volts imo to high for any highs amp. I run 14v batts and charge as high as 16.8 and run 2 zapco 750.2s for my highs I had my amp guy go through them then bench test them and he was able to safely play them with up to 18v. He said the main concern would be swelling the capacitors in the amp which could cause them to blow or leak.
