Ok, im getting ready to do this and since i blew a amp up last time i played with a tool... i want to make sure i'm doing this right. How do i hook the alligator clip up to the negative ground if its 0 gauge? Do i just stick it on the bare wires that are barely showing out of amp?

When i do these test do i have the car runnin on? Or do i just have the Accessories on?

Just clip the negative to the ground, clipping it to the wires is fine, and id do it with the car running

Clip it to the 0 gauge ground? Will the aligator clip penetrate the ground wire or does it need to? or the ground of the car? There is no car ground area where my amps are. Should i just clip it on the amp ground area.. like in the whole a little?

Im just trying to make sure i got it right :). My 0 gauge goes to my battery, and the battery is grounded to the chassis. So.. by clipping it on the bare wire next to the amp on the 0 gauge that would ensure it being grounded?

Actually, your battery IS ground. But the answer to your question is yes.

You may be offended by the above. Don't take it personally, I'm just abrasive.
