adam6604 Posted August 20, 2011 Report Posted August 20, 2011 a local guy is selling 2 10" Oldschool orion subs, with a orion 150R amp for only 100$! the amp has both a 4 channel and 1channel amps put together, a side for mids/highs and a side for subs, its really different. i think its a pretty damn good deal just because its rare and oldschool haha i might pick it up tomorrow and check it out just seeing what you guys know/think of the amp Driving my 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 MEGA cab with the 5.7 hemi. photochrisb931 Posted August 20, 2011 Report Posted August 20, 2011 To my knowledge the 150r is a 4 channel only amp. The front channels are stable down to .5 ohm the rear to 1ohm. It is essentially an HCCA225 and an Hcca250 in the same heat sink. They were beast in their day. You should be able to download the owners manual from the Orion website. I have one of the 250Rs and it was a beast when I had it installed and was very reliable. I have no clue what they go for on the used market but if its in good shape probably would work just fine just understand it is around 11-15 years old and technology has changed. If I had 100 bucks to play with I would probably pick it up to have fun with man. That big red heatsink is sexy as hell. Also they are current hogs so you better have a solid electrical in order to run it man. Barstad
