i hear that if you want to run multiple amps (i would like to run one for the subs and one for the mids and highs), that you need the remote wires to be connected to a relay. is this true and where do you get these relays at? thanks

not really

I go from one amp to the next one. no relay needed

Get a relay. You take a chance when you turn on more than one amp with your deck.

2 Reasons:

1. Different amps draw different amounts of current while starting up, so you never know if your deck is capable of turning on more than one.

2. Some amps, when damaged/burnt, draw significantly more power through the remote. Usually, they can take your deck with them.
