Thanks I appreciate it!! idk if you go by it our not but i was messing around with the torres calc and couldnt get the tuning freq. below the mid 40's with that volume and port area with any reasonable lengths... BTW, Ram how much would you charge for a design for something like this? i might just sacrifice a few bucks to make sure its done right. EDIT_ now that my dumbass thinks of it are you guys suggesting that i keep it tuned in the mid 40's or something in that area? ReggieB Posted November 24, 2011 Report Share Posted November 24, 2011 I am getting a DC LVL 4 12 soon and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a ballpark volume and port area. Box will be sub and port firing forward. Also curious on how anyone thinks a tuning freq of 35hz sounds (goal is mostly SQ but still wanna try and get loud with the power im giving it -->) Only reason I ask is that I will only be able to give it 500w rms till i can afford a bigger amp sometime this winter/nxt spring and i keep hearing that less power=bigger enclosure.
