I got a dayton 240w plate amp, other than the 60hz hum its a great amp.. Its powering a 18"bl motor with sundown soft parts in a 14cuft box tuned to 26hz.. It gets pretty retarded at low vol..

I have thought about doing the exact same thing. I have a powered woofer on my keenwood surround sound, But thought about using my SSD in here and just buying another woofer for my build...
