bobobass
Keep in mind that the jacket on welding cable is: - Not designed to resist petroleum based products such as oil and gasoline - Not designed to offer any insulation to the heat generated in the engine compartment (and heating the copper increases its resistance) You'd be well advised to buy cable suited to automotive use. Don't know where you got that info because welding cable insulation holds up to heat and chemicals a whole lot better than any car audio brand out there. And to the op, that is a great place to buy wire from. A whole lot cheaper than car audio specific wire and it performs better Edited September 30, 2011 by bobobass Quote 2000 Subaru outback 2.5l Head Unit: Pioneer deh 4300ub front stage: tbd subwoofer: Stock Fi Q 18" amp: Audio que 1200d

This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.

He has a point, buy things meant for cars, not for a welder. Would you use car audio cable on your welder? Quote Blown
