I forgot to take a pic before I started cutting but this is the first step of building my driver side door pod.

Next step tomorrow will be to trim it down flat once it is dried and then put a layer of fiberglass over it to seal everything up nice and solid. Once that dries I will use bondo to give me a nice flat surface to work with to build the pods base.

I have something special planned for these, but am waiting for some parts from toolmaker.

I figured why buy CF Dustcaps when I can try and make them first!

If this works then I will be having some larger molds made and try making 8" and 10" dustcaps.

I had some blue CF vinyl left over from an old build that I figured I would try on the trim pieces between the subs. Its not bad but I think I am going to pull them and wrap them in black.

Also put the final coat of body filler on the driver side door panel. I can now sand this down flat and it is ready to make the back panel for the door pods.
