mr151 Posted October 17, 2011 Report Posted October 17, 2011 So I have two orion hcca-d2400 amps and two hcca-12.4 subs. I need help figuring out what way to wire them. Would I be better wiring the subs at 2 ohms and run one sub per amp or wire the subs at 8 ohms and then wire both back to 4 ohms and strap the amps? I think his would put the amps back to 2 ohms. Does anybody know what would happen if I wired the subs to one ohms and strapped the amps? I know the amp isn't listed as being stable but I thought I would ask. Im trying to get the most watts I can any help would be great.

creed9 Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 If you strap them at 4 ohm, or wire each sub up to its own amp at 2ohm, its gonna be the same power output from the amp. Cause each amp will see a 2ohm load either way
