Jason_D
How do you guys step your 16v audio power down to 14v to run the car? I really want to run a 16v setup, but I can o ly fit 2 Alts in my car, so can't run a 3rd for a separate 14v setup. I'm looking to put a deposit down on some XS Powers either today or tomorrow and need to know what ones to get! Any help would be great! bassahaulic
Your technically going from a 12v system to a 14v system not a 16v system.
Jason_D
Well if I can find a way of doing it I may well run a 16v system. Anyway, do you have a useful answer to the question I asked?
bassahaulic
Run a true 16v system. Charge 18v and use the XS Power step down module to power the vehicle and smaller amps. Not to difficult.
Jason_D
Run a true 16v system. Charge 18v and use the XS Power step down module to power the vehicle and smaller amps. Not to difficult. its not as easy as that tho, ill need 5 pr 6 step downs, which arent cheap, thats why im trying to find the best way of doing this before i commit thousands to the power supply. Does anyone on here run their SAZ3500's on 18v DAILY DRIVE, and for MUSIC FOR LONG PERIODS. or is this really for SPL use only? the issue i have is being in the uk, I WILL LOSE MY WARRANTY if i run them at higher voltage. if people run them daily at that voltage and there are no problems then i am willing to do it, but i will need to see some good results/evidence that it will work. Thanks Guys!
