sub mounted in or out

Recommended Posts

Not sure if I kno what that means...

Phase..?

Phase is just direction the woofer will travel first.... it's flips the sound wave upside down. So imagine your subs on punchy bass. The speakers fire out of the box rather than in, so if you flip them around without messing with wires or anything they'll be firing into the box. I probably just confused you more but I'm not that great of an explainer lol.

If you reverse the wires at the amp and coils you'll be running them + to + and - to - again.

Just change either at the amp or at the sub(s), not both.

The phase switch may also have the numbers "0" and "180" at either end of it.

If you're going to run a sub upside down then try it with wires not changed first then changed. Sometimes you dont need to change the phase.

Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through.
