''Bassman'' Posted October 23, 2011 Report Posted October 23, 2011 Whats up guys, Alright i have a 2000.4 meanmachine amp in my jeep now powering 8 speakers, i had four more to power so i had to get another amp(sundown 100.2) Well finally got it all hooked up and go to play it and just the speakers that is on the sundown amp has a slight static noise without playing any lyrics then when i turn it up past a quarter on the eq they want to ''pop'' and cut off.... At one time they totally sucked inward. Then when i go to cut the key off on the ignition you can hear a ''thud'' from the speakers and subs. ''Bassman'' Posted October 23, 2011 Author Report Posted October 23, 2011 few things i can think of check grounds check rcas did u run power grounds rcas all through one side? sometimes they need to be seperated it can be something as little as two wires touching to loose ground to a rca thats faulty hmm I can bet money it aint no grounds.... thats a given..hmmm rcas now thats a different story, the rcas back to the 2000.4 are good they clean sounding, now i got y adapters to add-on my other amp, would you think having more connections would cause this? i wrapped each connection of the rcas in electrical tape and tried too, it still has that small hiss plus the pop.
