poorfish88
I have run similar systems with 80a alt, and had bad voltage drop into the 11s.. Nothing shut down or anything, but I needed a output alt for sure. Plus I'd use an extra batt in back, and if you got the money I'd go AGM front and back. Got AMG in front. The AGM up front is a good start. My system had two AGMs one upfront and one in back. Big 3 and 0/1 all around. 80a amp alt and I had voltage drop on a Rockfordt1500bd and a 4channel amp. I believe with 170a alt and batt in back you'd be fine.
adreano17
You'll be fine if you're not playing full blast long. I would get a volt meter along with those equipment and monitor voltage drop. If you're dropping too low, a decent second battery should be help. Luckily my radar detector has a voltmeter on it you want voltage of the amplifier, not the stock location battery. i forgot lol Quote Pioneer AVH-p5700DVD | MB Quart Onyx ONX4.125 | 6.5 Alpine Type-S component & 6x9 3-way | Hifonics Brutus brz1700.1d | 2 - 12" Kicker L7 | Custom box tuned to 36 hz | 220A Mechman Alternator | 1/0 OFC Welding all the way back | Big 3 | 2 Farad Tsunami Cap | Deka 9a34 | 20% Tint | 6000K HIDs | Yellow Projector Fogs | Dual Out Magnaflow
