the manufacturer usually will tell you what's best for the sub. 8's usually like around .5-.6 cubic feet and if it were me, i'd prefer to tune an SA-8 a little lower, like 30-32 hz. those things will get really low if you let them.

This is far from true. In my experiences the "recommended" enclosures are decent but not optimal for sure. :shrug:

so with 1000 watts would a .6 cube tune to 32 hertz or 1 cube tune to 32 which route would i go and a 4runner

I'd do the smaller size with that much power. Not looking for a whole lot of bass? Just a little extra?

yeah just extra to have a fuller sound in my car what if i did a maybe 500 or so watts?
