If I get flatwound leads on my sub will it help to take more power?

I heard this from someone but don't know if its true

Yes, more surface area increases thermal handling.

A straight line (flat) has less surface area than a curved line (assuming same width for each, therefore less surface area for heat dissipation), but they tend to take more power better anyways so just ignore that fact
