This is actually a rebuild, heavily influenced by all the knowledge I have gained here at SMD. I'm still on crutches so the process may be a bit slow, but I will continue to upgrade this page as I get more done. Anyway...less talking and more pictures. Nine8SST Posted November 4, 2011 Author Report Share Posted November 4, 2011 These are the things I already have done: The Big 3....hopefylly I will upgrade to an XS Power battery in the next few months The alarm is in, along with a backup battery and a backup battery powered siren. And sound deadener.... This is just a pic of everything all tidy up under the dash.... I'm gonna get my HU and GPS unit in tonight after my daughter crashes, so I'll get some more pics up tomorrow. I know living in a community plagued by DUI's how it feels to have to kick a door in when someone comes over on you. Nine8SST Posted November 7, 2011 Author Report Share Posted November 7, 2011 Heres an update: - Head unit and GPS are in. - One run of RF 1/0awg and 3 runs of Knu 16awg speaker wire down the driver side. - Two runs of RF RCA's and 3 runs of Knu 16awg down the passenger side. My fiberglass supplies should be here tomorrow so I can get started on the doors. I told you it would be slow going...LOL...anyway, here are some pics. GPS unit in the glove box. Nine8SST Posted November 7, 2011 Author Report Share Posted November 7, 2011 I used pipe insulation in the dash so i dont get any annoying rattles. My truck is an automatic, so I took advantage of where the clutch cable goes through in a manual! Next update in a few days or so....thanks for checkin it out!!
