Drillrig52
Hey everyone, new to this forum. A couple questions on my build im starting soon. The car is a 93 Toyota Corolla, Equiptment is going to include 2 Sundown Sa-15s off of my current Rockford T1000bd. So obviously these arent going to fit in my trunk, I cant get even 1 15 in there without a crap prefab box. Right now I have that same amp powering a Type R 15 in a 2.5cu box tuned at 31hz. So its home is in my back seat with the backrest taken out. It sounds best when the sub and port are facing into the trunk. Im going to build another box for the sundowns, but from you guys experience hopefully ill be able to make up my mind on how im going to build this box. Ex. subs up, port facing trunk im thinking would be loudest. Or maybe seal the trunk off completely to increase cabin pressure... Any experienced feedback would be greatly appriciated. Drillrig52
Thanks man, so if I build the box for two of them, have the subs facing up with the ports facing the back? And I also have deadened the trunk very well from when I had 2 12s in there. I also have the big 3 done, batteries will come after the subs, stock alt. Drillrig52
Sorry if I confused you, I plan to have the subs in the backseat. With my amps in the trunk. And I'm only going to be putting probably a lil over 1000 end plus my 4 channel so a hart or two should be alright for now. So with the subs in The backseat would subs up and port facing back sound the best? getlocivic
so your going to remove the bottom of the back seat and make a floor for the box to sit on....correct??
Drillrig52
Yes that's exactly what I'm doing. With the port blowing into the trunk through the huge gap left from removing the seat.
