If you want to walk blind. You can never know what you leave behind. When you walk with sight. You can always see the light. Only you can create a past. Just don't let is slip away to fast. When you live for today. You let your future go astray. Awaken your past. Your future can be so vast. When your present is so bleak. Then your future you can not seek.

If you believe your life has no effect on others. You my friend have been under a cover. Your life is like a pebble dropped into lake. It most certainly creates a wake. When those waves begin to spread. Only then can you move ahead. For you may

have no clue. That those waves can make someone else feel renewed. For one day that wave will surely go away. But in life nothing is promised so I hear people say

When you realize your waves can effect others. Then that day you are no longer under that cover.

I have allowed this pain to take me whole. I'm beginning to kill my soul. I am not who I want to be. For this is why my mind is not free. I have begun to close all doors around my heart. There is no light to penetrate the dark. My spirit Is no longer a beacon of light. Those who are close have been struck by its dark might. I'm trying to find a place of pain. This is why you believe I'm insane. I can not give what I need. So I will continue to make your heart bleed.

We say he's the master of disguise. Yet we still listen to his beautiful lies. God gave us a path and a choice. Lately its been harder to see and hear that wonderful voice. We say the devil has no power over mankind. Yet we let his shadow keep our hearts blind. People continue to say keep our vision in the hands of man. The devil once again has that evil grin and says that's been my plan. Why do we give this darkness our happiness and laughter. Our God said simply don't let my children be bastards. I am their true father and bring them to my feet. This is the only way to make the devil retreat.

This isn't criticism or anything at all but I noticed you seem to follow the aa bb cc rhyme scheme. But thu great thing about poetry is you don't have to even rhyme. Just a hint if that holds you back at all.

I wrote this for my uncle.

You where born to feel the blues. For this was chosen for you. When you are on stage. You life slowly turns a page. You have seen the world threw a young mans eyes. And now you are older and the blues you still can not deny. When you strike your bass. You can see the blues on your face. There are many who have no clue. But you my friend have lived the blues. Once again you are out on stage. And you slowly keep turning the page.

The dark seems to find a deeper black. A shadow is now upon our backs. The depth is all around. In this dark we will be bound. It creeps in the light. Only because your eyes are losing their sight. The dark will not remain silent. While our hearts and minds become violent. The darkness has a force. It remains as long as you follow its course. The dark has an army of souls. Will you be another to help reach its goal?

In a room full of light. Lies a mind full of fright. In a room of peace. The memories of troubled times will not cease. In a room of protection. The past stills makes so much rejection. In a room full of joy. The future is most certainly a ploy. In a room there's this beautiful light. But all I want to see is the night.

I may drag myself to a place of question. On my way there I don't need another suggestion. There's a reason why I chose this course. I don't need to feel any remorse. I will seek a way to fall out of sight. I don't need anyone to shed a light. I'm on a path to self destruction. I have lost the way of self construction.
