carlzz08
what are the pro's and cons of turning this on or using this feat of Pioneer headunit would it cause CLIPPING the signal?
Skullz
I have tried it and don't like it, it enhances areas not quite to my liking so i leave it off and play with the EQ if i have to make a small adjustment for certain tracks or genres. As with anything that enhances the music it has to potential to cause you to clip and or distort the music, think of it as like a bass boost but for the full range of music though. carlzz08
yeah thats what im thinking about that sound retriever is like Loudness and bass boost feat.. so better turn it off then just adjust on my EQ thanks man!
the1uwannab
the sound retriever option isused for burned cds which are compressed to fit on the disc and lose quality the sound retriever uncompresses it bringing a higher bit rate out thats all it does its not like a loudness feature or bass boost if it sounds worse its probably because it was a bad recording of the music and its bringing it out more.
