draper
I just bought a brand new 32gb ipod touch from target... When i play it thru both head units that i have it sounds distorted and almost like the track is skipping. My old ipod sounds fine. Has anyone ever had this issue? TheNewbie
Maybe your cable doesn't like the new ipod touch is the old ipod another touch? Or a regular ipod. DRCinc
if its power + input sometimes youll get feedback because the power output t your ipod, try using AUX and see if that fixes it
Guest
i heard that the newer ipod cables only work well with the newer ipods. i tried my 1st gen nano cable with an iphone 4 and it made it sound like complete ass. used the iphone 4 cable and it sounded fine... draper
i tried the aux cord and the skipping stopped but it still sounds really muddy compared to my 2 year old ipod touch Quote 97 crown vic kenwood hu big 3 mechman 270 amp alt 1 d3400 2 d3100 hiffonics collosus (bass) Hifonics Zues (mids and highs) 2 15in kicker l7s dynamat extreme sound deadner viper secured

draper
Just went back to target to swap it out for a another one; just in case it was defective. I pull my old ipod touch out of the usb port and plug the brand new one in (with exactly the same song playing) and a huge difference in sound quality. Maybe the new ipod touches just sound like shit. all4spl
I have a 5th gen iPod 80gig and a brand new iPhone 4, both use the same alpine cable to connect to my 9887 and both sound perfect. I would try the cable swap with a new iPod cable to your H/U. draper
I have the kenwood aftermarket cable and it didn't do anything. I hit sound check in the ipod itself and that seemed to clear it up. I also locked the volume at one click down because all the way turned up it sounded like clipping (used multiple head phones) at 30-80 hz.
