donovanl12
Hey guys, this is my first decent box build for my Sundown SA-8. I just finished cutting the MDF with my new table saw. I say "decent" because my last box was built using a handsaw and it was horrible. I got a design from a guy on here for free and he did a great job! Box is .6 cubic feet and tuned to 35 hz. I'm not starting on putting it together today, because my neighbor has a small brad nailgun and it is perfect for this 1/2" MDF. Later this week hopefully, because today's thanksgiving! Here's some pics of it pieced together: Thanks for looking!

DJTucker
That looks damn good... It looks bigger than .6cuft though ... Unless it's just the way the picture was taken. I would honestly " T-Line " ( 1/4 Wave Length ) that SA-8... I don't think i'm ready for a t line yet. lol...

I was looking at the pics like "that's way more than .6cu.ft." and it is, displacement is the amount of internal volume taken up by the sub, the port and anything else inside the internal space of the box. STEvil
im having a hard time seeing that as .6 lol Quote MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed.
