Another crimping thread....

I'm not going to keep a 50 dollar tool that doesn't work properly, I got it since I figured it would be easy to use considering my slight handicap

I don't have a vice :( I'm trying to justify gettin the mega crimpers but I don't do many installs. I'm on my way to harbor freight right now... The nerve damage in my left ARM/hand makes it extremely difficult to hold a punch safely.

Can you squeeze bolt cutters? Cuz if you can't mega crimpers won't work for you either. You would have to have hydraulic or electric.

I could brace the bottom ARM and just push done, done it with bolt cutters

That would work, I have done it with 2/0, when I have multiple cables to do, like a dozen plus lugs to crimp and are 1/0, I call my brother in law over and have him do them, 220 and built like a brick shit house, it is nothing for him lol.

I have the harbor freight crimper too. I just turned one of the 0 game ones sideways until the 0 gauge would fit, then crimp away.

Even doing that, its not going to fit

Picked up a torch, small vice and got 30 bucks back. Where do you guys fine large size shrink tube in red 0ga size ? All I found was black
