spl explorer
I see you’re real busy with designs. Lol. I’m ganna add to that. It would greatly help me out when I start my new box. -max dimensions: width of 41.5" and depth of 32" has to be those exact dimensions. The height of the box can be 18-20 inches. -type of subs: Fi Q18” -number of subs: 2 -desired tuning frequency 32-34Hz, Daily -type of vehicle: 94 Ford Exploder XLT -position of the subs and port: Subs up, port up. -The box will have 1 2x4 and will be made from 1”MDF. Thanx mayne! Im trying to cut the bed the least as possible. thats the dimensions with the bed liner out im pretty lost and have no clue how imma do it? Thanx mayne! the is probably not gonna be possible...its only 12.34cubes gross, 11.86cubes after sub displacement...probably around 10.5cubes after port displacement...they recommend 12cubes minimum for two of these subs....not only that but if you do subs up and port up then there is barely any room for the the port opening.... i likes me some audio stuff... Maybe something like Chodes blow trough but only with 1 sub?? honestly....i dont know if i would feel comfortable trying to design something like that...im not really sure how a blowthru would react...like if you would sound like a typical ported box or more of a bandpass.... i likes me some audio stuff... If you upped the height to get to 12 cubes, what would it be. Well somehow I have to be able to fit 2 Qs. Any suggestions? EDIT: width of 41.5" and depth of 32" has to be that but I could do up to 22inches for the max height. 32" for the depth should be enough to do a slot port across the top as long as the subs are against the back wall. spl explorer
I would appreciate it if you could design it. Ill give it a try. If it doesn’t do well then it will be time for a wall. But I don’t want to get to that point yet. It’s my daily vehicle. lol. Cant belive how much airspace a Q wants!
