If you hit menu while in the player and go to audio effects you should be able to change the sound. Thats how its done on my Atrix 4g. If that doesn't work then I am sure there is a player available in the market that has a built in eq.

Get a iphone? lol na i dk, my droid came with some earbuds with decent bass, but i dont expect much from headphones, thats what my 18" is for
