i do lol somewhere but who knows when it was updated last lol i do not on this computer. when we got robbed my comp got stolen so thats all lost now (i guess its on photo bucket somewhere or maybe FB but that would be a disaster to find lol)

Man I dunno how but this got deleted from the things I follow and I was pissed and it took me forever to find this build again but man it was crazy to catch up with the last 10 pages! Goodness that was intense, I think those pics actually got my heart rate up....pictures of car audio got my heart rate up....wtf! Alright I just joined up too. 40 years old and car audio nut and pro installer for 20+.

Just had to say that watching your skills progress during this thread makes me weep a little less for the future of our nation--well at least for the future of car audio. You're a young looking guy (no homo) and it's notable how you run your business in a respectable manner. Your skill and taste in customizing has also matured very quickly in this one single build. The black and white flag theme is absolutely legit and some of the features you're adding are next level. The stitched and wrapped console is light years beyond the original bed liner and the pillars and headliner speak for themselves. The time spent on wiring the amps and building the amp and battery racks is also very impressive.

In a time when most "systems" are amps laying on a rat's nest of wires not mounted or anything and running deck power to front stages, well I think you're representing yourself and your brand extremely well. Looking forward to seeing what comes next.

shit im glad i can help your mental image of the young people these days. i get it a lot people that dont know anything about me look down on me like im less than them due to my age, so you share that view with a lot of people i know that much. so im glad a lot of you "older" people on here can look past my age at my talents and at least respect the work i try to do.

haha on the console i didnt used to have any patience for this stuff lol loud was good enough. i dont know how i ever had it like that now that i look back...it was kind of pathetic. im very glad that has changed.

IM GETTING A NEW START!

i dont really know if i should cry or be happy at the moment but i know everything will change, that is for sure.

i sold all of the basically front half of my truck to the guy who owns the other truck we are building.

LONG STORY SHORT:

i get to build a new console, dash bezel (at minimum), door panels and pillars for the truck. so i guess what i was hoping would be the last time i ever had to build something like this for myself turned into the second to last time lol its kind of like a new lease on life for the truck which im really excited about. and as my skills progress i hope this will be the best yet. i have not a clue what i will doing with the interior at the moment. havent gotten a chance to think a lot yet but ill do my best to make it awesome lol

as i type im kinda reflecting on all the stuff i have now thats to be torn out after finals its all really awesome stuff and im sad to see it go but i get to start over so new is always good around here.

dash will be removed and coated with black i think....amps will probably stay in doors....switches for windows will be rearranged....trying new door speakers .....no ideas on pillars ATM.....console ideas are blank plexi something for sure lights maybe not sold on anything for console yet built too many dont want copy...probably mini ipad in the stock stereo location with some SMD fan controllers...new placement of 14v SMD VM-HV shit who knows gotta sit in the thinking chair a bit lol

if you have any crazy ideas feel free to post them here and im happy to consider all ideas.

So if your going to switch up the dash bezel and stuff if it was me I personally wish I could have a built in computer to run my 360.3 program on(pc or mac) so if I needed to I could adjust everything without having to have my laptop around, and I also love the way optical cable sounds over rca's! I know steve already has a built in mac mini and runs his system off the optical and that could be concidered copying but you could make it your own

It'd be cool if you included most SMD products, the VM-1, OM-1, and especially the TM-1, you know have all that going, especially the cooling system. There's a S-10 show truck that has an air conditioner for the amps, runs off the stock compressor, that's an idea. Has an inter-cooler and all kinds of piping, they cut holes in the backs of the amps, and glued fans into K&N cone air filters to suck air through the amps, it's pretty elaborate. They had plexi glass with hidden fans over the amps too, for cooling the heat sink as well.

Also, on the forum here, soundsystemmaniac, he shows a center console in a F150 that's jaw dropping awesome. I wonder how much plexi can be bent before it discolors or breaks, the right kind and right bends could be used to make a whole dashboard! Maybe acid or lazer etch SHCA into the plexi too. Maybe dye the plexi, or putting fading window tint, have amps in the dash or something. Oh! That painting with dripping fingers thing, have that on the back of some plexi panels! and throw some LEDs behind that too. I think that would look cool! If there's anyone who could do it, it's you, and these are some ideas I had. BTW that build is inspiring! As soon as I get some money together, I'll order some wire, too. Can't wait to have those killer heat shrink wraps you have, they're so cool.

ok guys. so long story short the new season is coming for competition. since i sold the entire interior of the gmc and now ALL the subs this is the best time for a rebuild cause its already half way stripped. the best show of the year out here on the west coast is in February which this build will be ready for.

goal of this build is musical. the flat wall was awesome but i had to choose between musical and numbers. i chose music. this one i wont have to do that as much should be better for both without a dumb port insert or something like that.

List of products:

ALL Sky High wiring and lots of it.

lots of SHCA 2/0 CCA because "all" CCA is "terrible quality" ill make one run per 370 amp elite series mechman alt. the runs will be 22 ft long each. just to make a point.

(4) mechman 370 amp alts...dont know how im going to mount them yet but im gonna have to figure it out.

(12) dc audio lvl 5 m2 15s in a 6th order bandpass

(6) dc audio 9.0 amps

(4) dc 175.4s

i hope (55) xs power d1400s.

(5) xs power xp950s to run the processing on

360.3

SMD VM1, VM1HV, (2) TM-1s, (2) OM-1s

undecided on door speakers. thinking rockford pros but not 100% sure yet

everything else is going to be the regular stuff. bunch of plexi, leather suede etc in the interior probably ipad mini unless i can find something cooler in the time remaining.
