As for snapping the axles is probably bound to happen just make sure you buy upgraded axles dont use the stock ones. There are a few different companies that make axles for the 60 to be used in off roading applications. You will definately need them. Whats your plans for the lift? Are you just using springs or are you going to four link it or what?

It's not a stock 60 is it? 45in tires will snap up nearly any stock axle. yes rear axle is getting fully built. i have all the parts to do it...bearing and seal kits 5.38 gears which ive had for a few months now (i got ancy) its a gm 14 bolt so its a pretty good axle as is but im not trying to be stuck somewhere when it inevitably breaks so its cheap insurance basically to build it up. Are you just using springs or are you going to four link it or what? i need a dana with a drivers side diff. there will be no stock axles lol everythings getting rebuilt. the lift will be a leaf lift so the SAS adds 5" automatically then ill probably get 15" lift springs in front (20" total) then some 17s in rear and with those ill accommodate for the weight of the batts in the bed and get a little extra for a few more batts i have planned. a four link is awesome but its over my head so ill stick with the leafs for now then maybe learn more later and fab up a 4 link If he will ACTUALLY take it off road then yes he will want some upgraded shafts.
