I still have my stock alt that runs strong after 20 years, but that's only an 8O amp. I may take it to a shop and have them load test it. That's a lot of work tho. My alt is a PITA to take out lol.

Larry, no wires really get hot, when I had first ran my big 3 positive wire, it got really hot and I would have voltage spikes up to 17+. Then I rerouted it and it's been fine since.

I hate People with crappy primered cars rolling on hubcaps that are louder then me.
