Thinking of a T-line

Hey everyone, i have been out of the loop for the past couple of months and i am feeling the need to upgrade my system. I currently have a custom 15 that i picked up off of xxxbasshead on CACO: http://www.caraudioclassifieds.org/forum/15-subwoofers/63537-2-tc-based-15s.html. I have it in a ported box, which i forgot the dimensions and tuning of, but i did spend some time designing it and i was very pleased with the sound but now i want to go louder. I also have a buddy who has been working with a local shop and will soon have 2 Memphis C3 12's in a bandpass in his ranger, and its not a big deal, but i'd like to keep bragging rights over him :peepwall:.

Anyways enough background, i just finnished reading forevrbumpn's thread on T-lines and it made sense with me and i think i want to give one a shot. And my questions are what do i tune the box to as i do not have the specs for the sub, and is a T-line impractical for a 15? Would i be better off just staying ported and adding more cone area?

Sorry if this thread doesnt make sense, im just having a hard time deciding what i wanna do to beat my buddy

Honestly I have read the same T-Line tutorial and all I can say is, be prepared to do it over and over again possibly uness you get lucky. From what ive read they need to be very precise and not a lot of head room to be inaccurate. The easiest way to be louder is to add cone area. If you added another 15, most likely if they are good subs in good ported enclosure on right power you would still have bragging rights. But you never can really tell how loud something will be until you go for it. If all conditions equal, 2 15s should be louder than 2 12s. If you know someone who can design you a T-line such as PWK, you might have a shot, but Idk how much of a diference a good T-line will give you over a good ported. No experience. I've stayed away due to various warnings. If you succeed you may be very happy? Goodluck!! I'll look for your final decision.
