Mad_Mike Posted December 27, 2011 Report Share Posted December 27, 2011 I looked on the website, but there is no Taurus.. Though the taurus is not the only thing that has the 3.0 Vulcan.. Does anyone know where I can get like a 270 amp alt for the taurus? It's a 98, with the 3.0 vulcan(the ohv). To my understanding.. Adding extra batteries to a system is really no help for when the engine is running and the alt can put out more than the amps need. Am I right? I see in all the high power systems there's lots of batteries and I don't really understand why.. could someone please shed some light on why so many batteries? Cardboardcat15 Posted December 27, 2011 Report Share Posted December 27, 2011 For the altertnator, just give DC power or Mechman a ring, chances are they have a unit for your car that's just not listed on their site. That's how it was with my Mechman 220 for my Corolla. As for the batteries, I'll let someone more knowledgeable chime in My Channel on YouTube.
