The reason i post this in the forum is that have a couple of doubts with my new amp that i got for christmas it is a JL Audio JX500/1,the first question is... How good is this amp? and what is the approx output of RMS power...? And secondly what kinda of sub should i use? i´m not an SPL guy and i kinda like SQL but i don´t have lots of money to invest in expensive equipment so i want to get a lot of bang for my buck...my first subwoofer option is the new Rockford Fosgate Punch P2 and secondly an JL Audio W3 (i want to work with a single 12" so i don´t lose a lot of trunk)but i don´t really know what else is in the market for this amp... :S BTW this are the specs of my amp... JX500/1 1-Channel Class A/B Car Amplifier RMS Power Rating (14.4V): 4 ohms: 340 watts x 1 chan. 3 ohms: 420 watts x 1 chan. 2 ohms: 500 watts x 1 chan. JL is more known for sound quality though but you can deff make it loud wiht some cone area. with a single 12 Youll prolly be happy. Stick with JL like tsuch said but if you dont care go for DC lvl 2 or even a DD 1500series would be a good match. I haven´t thought about DC and DD so thanks for the advice! And i like JL (it looks very elegant and sounds nice!) but i used to have RF Punch in my old system(Punch P2 200 rms) and i kinda like it, and i just saw the new P2 and like the way it looks but i don´t know if it´s any good (btw it´s rated 400 rms) saludos!
