numatik Posted December 31, 2011 Report Share Posted December 31, 2011 When I bought my truck it didnt have the hood springs that keep the hood open, and iv always used a 2x4. I got the hood springs from the dealership but cant figure out how the hell they go in, i feel like iv tried everything and I feel stupid. Its possible I have the wrong springs but I doubt it cause I got them directly from the dealership... BUT they dont fit, when my hood closes it pushes the inner sheet metal all the way against the 22s.... im gonna probably play with some cardboard levers and see if I can move shit around to make the spring assembly not drop so much when the hood closes.
