Another issue could be a blown...or start of a blown driver...It happened to one of my kenwoods back in 2008. If you just bought them recently...it should be covered under the warranty.

Try this. Push down on the sub woofer, not hard...but see if you can hear any time of scrapping noise...if so...your voice coil is rubbing against the driver.

I doubt it's blown, since he said it happens to both subs. And they are in a sealed box, so nothing odd would have been sucked in through a port......done that a few times with plastic shopping bags, lol. I never heard of this type of thing, and it's odd that it's happening to both subs at the same time too.

Well normally it happens to one...then that one sub starts getting less power and the power is forced over to the other sub....that's the only thing I can think of. Plastic bags. Nice. xD

Well yeah obviously ahahah... I just did a quick look at them.

The spot with least resistance LOL.

I would ground to a rubber dildo if it had less resistance than a run of 4/0 wiring.

how many poeple work there 3 or 4 lol

At crescendo HQ? probably 2-3

Yeah idk it sounded wierd. I think the voice coils are scrapping the driver cause it made a scratchy sound.

Ok now though the next question. You have all given great advice on what it might be, now if it is one of those how do i correct it?

If the coil is scraping then you might as well throw them out. Your option would be to recone them, but I seriously doubt anyone sells a recone kit for those, and thats not something for a noob to do either.
