BobbyG2 Posted January 2, 2012 Report Share Posted January 2, 2012 I think I just killed my Epic 10" Was powering it with a Sundown SAE-1200, not the full amps power ofc, prolly like 6-800 watts, but I guess since that was over the 500W RMS of the woofer it prolly wouldn't fall under warranty Lol. Was playing it for like 5 minutes, (Less than 2 songs) and it started to smell and make a flapping sound. Took it out of the enclosure and when I push down on the cone the voice coil rubs up against the former. Would all I need is a recone or is my sub toast? If so, oh well.
