NZBasshead Posted January 3, 2012 Report Share Posted January 3, 2012 how do i wire up multiple remote wires i wanna run 6-8 remote wires connected to 4 mono amps 2 4channel amps and a eq and processor i heard it could be bad splicing over 2 remote wires together i read somewhere i needed to wire it to a relay but i have no idea how to do that can someone explain or link a video or could i just run the remote wire through a 20amp fuse holder to protect my amps and such and splice them from there thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
skittlesRgood Posted January 3, 2012 Report Share Posted January 3, 2012 no you need a relay because the HU cant power all of those amps. the hu will now turn the relay on and off only. then you have constant 12v (battery) hooked up to the relay and all the remote turn on leads connect to another pin on the relay. direct links dont work for this site but they tell you how to do it on BCAE1.com just scroll through on the right until you see "relays" or something. itll teach you everything about them. edit - its number 36 on the list. But if im strapping 2 amps should i just have a remote turn on to one and the same size wire from it to the other. kind of like a relay.
