CarlosRodriguez Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 Is there an alternative to using birch i know there is mdf but i dont recall where but i read there was 11 ply something pretty sure it wasnt 11 ply Russian Baltic birch that stuff is beautiful but a wallet breaker and i know they sell 9 ply birch but herd the 11 ply mystery wood costed around the same price as the 9 ply birch they sell at homedepot any ideas?

I dont have an issue paying for the 6 or 9 ply stuff but the people i build boxes for like mdf (cheaper price) But i belive the stuff that im talking about is called lauan plywood
