I've been looking into different subs and brands and such, and it seems that there is sort of a gap.. Either they are rated at around 1k-1500 or under rated at 2500+ I don't want to have a sub that's goin to blow nor one that will laugh at the power it is seeing.. Any opinions? Laying frame soon.. System has to wait
stevog Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 i have a bl 15 and im going to run it off a sundown 2500 theres a guy on youtube that but around 2k some on them for a while and then he had them on around 4 each so i guess they will hold but i want to hear what others say also before i try it lol

99fullsizechevy Posted January 9, 2012 Author Report Posted January 9, 2012 The enclosure will b spot on and tuned with a dd1, but BL is out if it will not hold the power, amps is an aq2200, sub will b D2 ran at 1 ohm, single 15 for sure.. Leaning away from a dc xl... I need options.. Was leaning towards the hdc3 personally but the guy that I'm building it for doesn't care for their subs only their amps.. Laying frame soon.. stevog Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 when you say the box just right do you mean like smaller than recommended or a certain style. i just dont want to burn my sub lol. right now i have my fi 15 in like 3 cubes after port displacement can it hold the 2500 watts it has cooling and flat wind. sorry op for threadjacking but i also have the same question as you lol
