alsa2009
I've dOne double dins in older Vic's with no problems all I do is cut out the back and reshape it with abs plastic and dynamat and that works perfect So what you're saying is you heat up the back of the air duct and try to reshaped it.....or you just cut into the air duct and patch it up. I've had several ppl on other forums that took there Vics or Mercs to shops and they did the exact same thing, And then when they got their car back the air isnt blowing as hard or at all cause they cut into the duct or tried to heat it up and remold it. The only true and professional way I see to do it is like I did, JMO tho HU: Pioneer AVH-X4600BT Front Stage: 6 Kicker KS60's-2 Kicker KS6x8's Back Stage: 6 Kicker KS60's-2 Kicker KS6x9's Blowthru: 6 Pyle Pro audio 8's, 2 Pyle Pro Audio 6.5's, 4 Selenium super tweeters Amps: 2 Kicker ZX1500.1's 2 Kicker ZX850.2's 2 Kicker SX900.2's Subs 4 DC Soundlab Level 4 12's D1's Alt: Mechman 270xp 6G Batterys:Diehard Platinum, 2 Kinetik HC2400's 2 Runs of Stinger HPM 0ga DC Audio build. Awesome ride man! hell only thing I would have done different would be changing the heater core because I was ass deep in the dash best time to do it lol.. You know what I was but my boy swayed me from doing it. He said man they make parts for these car cheaper and cheaper. You get that heat core and it dont hold up you in trouble, Then he said if aint broke dont fix it. I was also was going to change the blend door actuator cause they are prone to go bad too. What he did with the dash was sand all the texture out just enough to make it smooth. Then he build it back up with primer then laid the paint. Im hitting like a 145-147 on the term lab. These guys round here has their meters weighed down. Also I just took off the dash.....didnt do none of the interior lol HU: Pioneer AVH-X4600BT Front Stage: 6 Kicker KS60's-2 Kicker KS6x8's Back Stage: 6 Kicker KS60's-2 Kicker KS6x9's Blowthru: 6 Pyle Pro audio 8's, 2 Pyle Pro Audio 6.5's, 4 Selenium super tweeters Amps: 2 Kicker ZX1500.1's 2 Kicker ZX850.2's 2 Kicker SX900.2's Subs 4 DC Soundlab Level 4 12's D1's Alt: Mechman 270xp 6G Batterys:Diehard Platinum, 2 Kinetik HC2400's 2 Runs of Stinger HPM 0ga DC Audio build.
