CWorthington
So ive come to the conclusion, a lot of people have voltage drops when the subs really hit. What time of problem do hids have when that voltage drop occurs? Does it reduce lifespan of the bulbs or the ballasts? Any info is great.
Guest
you get reduced life from the bulbs by quickly turning them on and off. the ballasts will work at any voltage range between 9-16 (at least thats how mine are) so that means that as long as its getting a voltage in that range, it'll perform fine. nice thing about hid's though is that they dont flicker when the voltage drops

m&c caraudio
Hids don't dim. They are a good way of hiding your problem.
